The three rules

Ivory, never white. Backgrounds are warm paper; text is warm charcoal. Pure #fff and pure #000 appear nowhere except inside a QR code's quiet zone.
The serif does the numbers. Money, totals and quantities are set in Cormorant Garamond at size. Sans-serif prices look like a database; serif prices look like a menu. Highest-leverage rule in this look.
Pills and one long shadow. Buttons 999px, cards 16px, one shadow token on raised surfaces. No second shadow, no glow, no ring.

Body copy is Avenir Next at 1rem. Note the inversion from a generic site: headings are serif and large, labels are tiny letterspaced sans. A big bold sans heading is the exact look this brand exists to avoid.
