LAOE is built so that your data never leaves your phone. We have designed it to collect as little as possible — which, in practice, is nothing.
Nothing. LAOE has no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, and no advertising. We do not operate a server that receives your data.
The voice recordings you make or import, any caller names and photos you add, and your settings are stored only on your device (and, if you have iCloud backup enabled, within your own private Apple backup). They are never transmitted to us or to anyone else.
LAOE asks for microphone access only so you can record your own voice for a call. Recordings are saved locally and used only to play back during a simulated call. They are never uploaded.
With your permission, LAOE checks whether a Focus mode (such as Do Not Disturb) is active, so it can warn you that a call might be silenced. This check happens entirely on your device and is never recorded or shared.
If you choose to alert a friend, LAOE opens Apple's standard Messages composer pre-filled with your text. Nothing is sent unless you tap Send yourself, and LAOE never reads or stores your contacts or messages.
LAOE is rated 4+ and contains no objectionable content, but it is a personal-safety tool intended for general audiences. It collects no data from anyone, including children.
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new date.
