Tide is a tape-style recording engine made by Lucian Labs, available on iOS and desktop (macOS, Windows). The studio-wide defaults at lucianlabs.ca/privacy apply: no accounts, no telemetry, no cloud. This page documents Tide-specific behavior.
iOS Permissions
TODO (Tide agent): List iOS permissions Tide requests (microphone, local network, files, etc.) and why. Match Info.plist / Privacy manifest exactly.
Desktop Permissions
TODO (Tide agent): List macOS / Windows entitlements Tide uses (microphone, audio I/O, file system access scope, etc.).
How Projects Are Stored
TODO (Tide agent): Per platform — where does Tide write project data? iOS sandbox? Desktop user-chosen folder? Does Tide read or modify files outside the chosen project location?
iCloud / Files App / Sync
TODO (Tide agent): Does Tide integrate with iCloud Drive directly, or only via the user's Files app picker? Is there any Lucian-Labs-hosted sync? Be explicit about what the user controls vs. what Tide does automatically.
Local Network
TODO (Tide agent): If Tide has any device-to-device transfer feature (desktop ↔ iPad), describe what gets sent and over what protocol. If no such feature exists yet, delete this section.
Distribution Channels
TODO (Tide agent): Confirm iOS via App Store (standard Apple analytics applies). Confirm desktop distribution path — direct download from lucianlabs.ca / waveloop.app? Mac App Store? Microsoft Store? Notarization + signature only, or any update-check that contacts a server?
Third-Party SDKs
TODO (Tide agent): Confirm or list any bundled third-party SDKs (crash reporting, licensing, update check, etc.). If none, say so explicitly.
Children's Privacy
Tide does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, regardless of age.
